This glossary is about my field of study which is business. The process of identifying, anticipating, and satisfying customer needs profitably by creating, communicating, and delivering value.

Example: All these roles can be linked to the management tasks of production, MARKETING, financial and personal management.

Negotiation is a strategic dialogue or back-and-forth communication between two or more parties aimed at reaching a mutually acceptable agreement, resolving disputes, or achieving specific objectives.

Example: People may obviously think after the event and they will not BUY a brand which disappointed them.

An article or substance that is manufactured or refined for sale.

Example: Consumers are more interested in special offers and the price of the mayonnaise and fail to link it to animal welfare issues to the PRODUCT.

The system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties. "they were taken to court for breaking the law".

A brand is the perceived, emotional, and functional reputation of a product, service, or organization that exists in a customer's mind.

Example: Rites of sense making by creating a Customer Insight Unit to perform in-depth research with customers to gain an understanding of customers and perceptions of the M&S BRAND.

A current medium of exchange in the form of coins and banknotes; coins and banknotes collectively.

Example: They present the economic view, according to which "commodities and things which circulate throughout an economic system and can be exchanged for other things, usually MONEY" (Preucel and Hodder 1996: 106).

A financial gain, especially the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in buying, operating, or producing something.

Example: Although the broody hen is the most effective way of rearing chicks it is not the most cost worthy or easiest if producing large amounts of STOCK.

Example: This would have caused a severe shortage of labourers for the Lords to EMPLOY, which would have offered the peasants more control over wages and the ability to buy their own land.

A person or organization that buys goods or services from a store or business.

Example: Pearson's correlation As an additional and final point it should be added, that for the whole investigated sample, the factors most strongly and positively correlated with the spending on organic foods were household size, annual income and CUSTOMER's age.

A written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.

A worklist is an organized, actionable list of outstanding tasks, assignments, or items that need to be completed by a person, team, or system.

Example: Employees expected stable and rewardful JOB.

Move with urgent haste.

Example: We were aware that the interviewee needed time to answer the questions and when there was a slight pause the interviewer smiled and did not RUSH in with a prompt too quickly.

The management of large amounts of money, especially by governments or large companies.

Example: Greenberg's view is solely FINANCE-based, and hence limited.

noun

The action or process of investing money for profit or material result.

Example: A fall in real interest rate might induce firms to increase their planned INVESTMENT.
